Level 2 Agriculture/Horticulture
Students learn about modifying the environment for plant production, techniques used to modify soil water content to optimize primary production and manipulations to influence productivity in livestock or plant
A range of internal Unit Standards may be undertaken during the year. External Achievement Standards are available for students wishing to gain a Merit or Excellence Endorsement; these will be assessed in an end of year 3 hour exam.
This subject is for students who have successfully completed the Year 11 Science/Horticulture course.
This subject leads on to NCEA Level 3 Agricultural/Horticultural Science (3HOR)
