ERO Report 2000 The curriculum remains a strength.  Strong programme planning and assessment of student progress continue to be features.  Supportive department leadership and generally high quality teaching assist all students achieve to their potential.  An effective range of programmes supports students with learning needs

There are many examples of quality teaching and learning practice throughout the school.  Teachers demonstrate a high level of commitment, enthusiasm and empathy towards students.  Positive relationships and interactions between teachers and students are evident
ERO Report 2008
The school has documented and articulates a strong vision for raising student achievement.
ERO Report 2009 ERO observed positive and respectful relationships between students and teachers across the school.  In most classrooms, high levels of on-task behaviour and engagement with learning were evident.  Teachers know students well and are sensitive to their pastoral care needs.  Students spoken to during the review expressed their appreciation of the support they receive from their teachers.  Positive relationships are helping to create a suitable environment for learning
