Facilities
Edgecumbe College is set in spacious grounds where students work and engage in recreational activities in a relaxed and well cared for environment. There are well equipped rooms for all subjects with computer aided learning used in an increasing number of subjects.
Computer Network
The school has two computer rooms, each equipped with 26 machines. All classrooms in the school are linked to the main computer network via fibre optic cable allowing students ready access to the Internet, word processing, and desktop publishing tools. Servers control internet filtering, printing, email, storage of student/teacher work and remote access. Remote access allows students and teachers to work on the school system from home using their own broadband connection. There are in excess of 150 computers within the school
Library
Students can access extensive amounts of information from books, CD-ROM, the Internet with a subscription to Te Puna and inter-loan facilities with the National Library. A fully computerised database networked to classes provides ease of access to library information throughout the college. Colour and plain copiers are available in the library for student use.
Horticulture Department
An extensive Horticulture Department with an adjacent specialist laboratory provides tutoring in agriculture and horticulture at all NCEA levels. The horticulture area covers more than 2 hectares
Music Suite
Our music suite along with a keyboard laboratory is due for refurbishment. It houses a huge classroom with 3 practice rooms for students undertaking lessons through the itinerant music programme.

For the convenience of students, especially those who travel by bus the canteen is open before school as well as interval and lunch. All canteen profits are used to benefit the educational needs of the students. The service is run by a manager with two part-time helpers.
Student Services Centre
A Student Services Centre houses the Guidance Counsellors and the Transition/Careers Adviser. The facility is a relaxed, warm environment where students can go at lunchtimes to access career information or, at prearranged times to see the Guidance Counsellor.
Health Clinics
A Health Clinic is run in conjunction with Pacific Health. Students may access this on a regular basis. Appointments can be made through the main office. A doctor is also in attendance on a weekly basis.
